1. Who we are
Roux and Co. ("we", "us") is a web development studio in South Africa; our company registration is currently in progress. We operate remotely within South Africa and do not have a public office address. You can reach us at rouxandco9@gmail.com or on 067 074 4787. In terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), we are the responsible party for personal information collected through our site and projects.
2. What we collect
When you contact us (via WhatsApp, phone, email or the contact form) we receive the information you choose to share: typically your name, business name, email address, phone number and project details. The contact form on this site does not store data on our servers. It opens your email app (or WhatsApp, if you choose) with your message pre-filled. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
3. How we use it
We use your information only to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver projects, and communicate about your project or account. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
4. Sharing & storage
We share information only with service providers strictly necessary to run your project (for example hosting and domain registrars), and only what they need. Some of the tools we use to communicate and host this site, such as WhatsApp (Meta), Gmail (Google) and Vercel, may process information outside South Africa under their own privacy and security safeguards. Project records are kept for as long as needed to provide support and meet legal or tax obligations, then securely deleted.
5. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to legal retention duties). Email rouxandco9@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
6. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the same care as our own.
